The ISTD education team is committed to developing a resource for those engaged in typographic education. A major part of that development process is achieved through use of our Student Assessment archive. Successful submissions are photographically recorded and digitally archived. In addition to recording the finished design proposals we keep a record of aspects of the research and development.
Progressively we aim to extend the range of resource material. Much of this will be determined through the work of the Education Team. However, we are open to suggestions from users of our resource – to contact the Education Officer click here
Opportunities for staff and students to see examples of work by student designers from other institutions, and from other countries, are rare. As the ISTD Student Assessment attracts submissions from students around the world, the archive offers a unique opportunity to share examples of student achievement. This is intended to inspire and to act as confirmation of standards. Through this site we offer examples of work submitted for projects from previous years. These are best viewed in conjunction with the relevant project briefs.
Briefs from previous assessments are available for download here.
